DARK Medium Gel is a professional medium-hard gel designed for strengthening natural nails, correcting nail shape, and nail repair.

It has a rubber-base-like consistency and self-levels quickly. The gel is fluid enough for comfortable application without being overly runny, making it suitable for short and medium-length nails.

Application:

  1. Perform the manicure, buff and degrease the nail plate. Apply Ultrabond and Dehydrator as needed.
  2. Apply a thin rubbing layer of clear base and cure for 60 seconds.
  3. Remove the sticky layer from the base before applying the gel.
  4. Strengthen the nail using DARK Medium Gel. Cure for 60–90 seconds at 48W, depending on the pigmentation of the color.
  5. Remove the sticky layer and file if necessary.
  6. Apply top coat and cure for 90 seconds.

Professional Notes:

  • Stir gels containing shimmer before use.
  • After curing, the gel may have a viscous sticky layer. The manufacturer recommends removing it before applying color or top coat.
  • Do not apply the gel under the cuticle.
  • When strengthening natural nails, file out at least 1 mm of the natural nail from underneath to help prevent lifting at the free edge.
  • For very short nails, the manufacturer recommends sealing the free edge from underneath with top coat.
  • DARK Medium Gel is a medium-hard gel. For long nails, the manufacturer recommends using the harder DARK Smart Gel to reduce the possibility of shrinkage.
  • All DARK hard materials are non-acidic.
